Abstract: To learn about the level and future trend of Arctic drilling equipment,follow the Arctic drilling dynamics,and promote the development of Arctic drilling technology in our country,the status quo and future trend of Arctic drilling were investigated.In order to cope with the harsh environment in Arctic area,the investment on Arctic drilling technology grows increasingly and Arctic drilling equi pment level makes continuous breakthroughs.Overseas companies have developed several kinds of drill ships and drilling units suitable for the super low temperature and floating ice conditions in Arctic area.In view of the rapid progress in Arctic drilling equipment abroad,the paper analyses on the challenges in Arctic drilling and the status quo of Arctic drilling equipment,points out the development trend of Arctic drilling and puts forward some suggestions on the future drilling equipment development.
