Abstract:
Aiming at the technical challenges in horizontal well drilling and completion of shale oil in the Shulu Sag, Jizhong area, including simultaneous kick and loss in the third member of the Shahejie Formation, severe wellbore instability, poor drillability of conglomerate formations, high friction and torque in horizontal sections, and difficult running of unlimited-stage fracturing sleeves, systematic studies were carried out based on regional geological and engineering characteristics. The research involved casing program optimization, drilling speed improvement and friction reduction, amphiphobic drilling fluid system, graded lost circulation prevention and control, as well as casing string running and cementing technologies with unlimited-stage sleeves. A set of key drilling and completion technologies suitable for shale oil horizontal wells in this block was formed. Field application shows that the proposed technologies can effectively solve the problems of coexistence of kick and loss, wellbore collapse, low rate of penetration (ROP) and difficult casing running. Compared with adjacent wells, the average drilling cycle of test wells is shortened by 23.02%, and the average ROP is increased by 31.20% with excellent cementing quality. It can provide technical support for the efficient exploration and development of Shulu and similar deep shale oil reservoirs.
