A New Technology for Manufacturing a Matrix PDC Bit

  • 摘要: 为降低胎体式PDC钻头的制造成本,并保证钻头的强度,利用计算机三维设计技术重新设计了PDC钻头内部钢芯的结构.分步进行了烧结刀翼小样和PDC钻头基体试验,并进行了相应的温度试验、强度试验、复合片焊接试验和现场试验,未发生基体表面破裂、碳化钨胎体脱落现象,验证了新工艺的可靠性.对比了采用新工艺和原有工艺制作φ215.9 mm 5刀翼胎体式PDC钻头基体的成本,结果表明,采用新工艺钻头基的制作体成本降低了54%.研究表明,采用新工艺制作胎体式PDC钻头基体的成本明显降低,强度可靠,完全可以满足现场使用要求,具有推广应用价值.
    Abstract: This paper introduces a method to cut the cost of a matrix PDC bit by improving the inner steel core which was designed by 3D design technology of PDC bit. Sintering tests of blade and bit matrix were conducted. Then, the temperature test, strength test, cutter welding outfit and field experiments of the PDC bit manufactured with the new technology were carried out. The new PDC bit matrix was undamaged, which demonstrated the reliability of the new technology. The comparative analysis indicated that the material cost of φ215.9 mm 5-blade matrix PDC bit was cut by 54% with the new technology. As a result, the new technology for manufacturing matrix PDC bit could be popularized and applied for its economic results and high reliability.
