Application and Development Analysis of Well Logging Information in Petroleum Engineering

Well logging technology plays an important role on oilfield exploration and exploitation and becomes the effective methods on resource assessment,reservoir management,drilling and production engineering and well cementing.With the development of three dimensional image logging and LWD technology,the geophysical and engineering parameters becomes much more abundantly.However,well logging interpretors and engineers are faced with one problem that how to apply these logging information in petroleum engineering better.Based on the detail analysis of logging information used in drilling,well completion,reservoir stimulation and production engineering,it is concluded that well logging information applied in petroleum engineering has some trouble,such as not enough attention,no perfect service,and unadvanced logging technology.In addition,the future logging technology maybe take effect on geological setting description,visual borehole logging,and unconventional resource exploration.
