川西地区超深井钻井完井技术现状及攻关方向

Current Practices and Research Directions for Drilling and Completion Technologies for Ultra-Deep Wells in Western Sichuan

  • 摘要: 川西地区油气资源丰富,但超深层海相碳酸盐岩地质条件复杂,钻井过程中面临纵向上压力系统多、井漏频发、井壁失稳垮塌、部分地层可钻性差、钻井风险高及钻井周期长等技术难点。通过近几年的技术攻关,研究形成了适用于川西地区的超深井钻井完井技术,主要包括超深井井身结构优化技术、钻井提速关键技术、防漏堵漏技术、高压低渗气层控压钻井技术、抗高温强封堵油基钻井液技术、超深高钢级套管开窗技术、控压平衡法固井技术和超深短尾管固井技术等,创造了多项钻井工程纪录,支撑了川西地区超深层油气资源的勘探开发。但目前仍然面临风险区域地质认识不足,恶性井漏治理难度大、部分难钻地层提速不理想和漏垮同存地层安全钻井配套技术不完善等技术难点,因此,提出下一步需在井身结构对策研究、钻井提速新技术新工艺试验、高效堵漏技术研究和地质工程一体化等方向进行技术攻关,以推动川西地区超深井钻井完井技术快速发展,实现川西地区深层油气资源的经济有效勘探开发。

     

    Abstract: Western Sichuan, a region rich in oil and gas resources, is confronted with technical challenges in drilling engineering, such as multiple vertical pressure systems, frequent loss of circulation, wellbore instability and collapse, poor drillability of certain formations, high drilling risks, and long drilling duration, due to the complex geological conditions of ultra-deep marine carbonates. Thanks to research conducted in the last few years, drilling and completion technologies for ultra-deep wells, suitable for western Sichuan, have been developed, namely those incorporating casing program optimization for ultra-deep wells, key technologies for rate of penetration(ROP) increase, lost circulation control, managed pressure drilling for high-pressure and low-permeability gas reservoirs, oil-based drilling fluid with high-temperature resistance and strong blocking ability, sidetracking in ultra-deep casings with higher steel grade, cementing based on a pressure control and balance method, cementing in ultra-deep hole with short liner suspension. These technologies contributed to the exploration and development of ultra-deep oil and gas resources in western Sichuan and set many drilling engineering records. However, there are still some technical challenges, such as insufficient understanding of geological conditions in the risky area, great difficulty in controlling serious lost circulation, difficult ROP increase in some hard drilling formations, and fewer associated technologies for safe drilling of formations with narrow mud weight window. In this paper, future research directions were proposed, including casing program design, pilot tests of new technologies for ROP increase, efficient control of lost circulation, and geology-engineering integration, etc. They are expected to boost the rapid development of drilling and completion technologies for ultra-deep wells in western Sichuan and realize economical and effective exploration and development of deep oil and gas resources in the region.
