Abstract
To quantitatively determine the testing time and boundary correction factor of productivity evaluation with DSTs in oilfields with faults, unstable productivity equations were developed under different boundary conditions, and dimensionless oil production index curves were obtained. esting time and its correction factor under different fault distance and angle were derived. It was demonstrated that the productivity correction factor was roughly between 0.60-0.80 in this oilfield, and the correction factor varied over testing time. The example results from two production wells demonstrated that the theoretical analysis productivity correction factor was verified by the actual production dynamic data. Further it also verified the reliability of productivity correction factor charts. It concluded that the productivity correction factor under different boundary conditions decreased with testing time and boundary distance.Operators can use charts with productivity correction coefficients to determine the correction factor for offshore oil well productivity evaluation.
